Rangers hero Ally McCoist stunned by Colak's 'absolutely perfect' goal as title importance stated

Ally McCoist says Antonio Colak will be a key man for Rangers if they are to lift the league title this year.

Alfredo Morelos has often been looked to as the man to provide goals at Ibrox but it's their summer recruit from PAOK who has filled that void this season so far. He's netted a header against Hearts in this lunchtime's kick-off at Tynecastle, passing wide to Scott Arfield before glancing a 10th successful effort of the season beyond goalkeeper Craig Gordon. He had his 11th soon after with a fine side-footed finish before half-time.

McCoist is one of Rangers ' most iconic forwards and reckons manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst must keep the Croatian firing if he is to win his first Premiership trophy as manager. Speaking with glee over the forward's goal on Sky Sports commentary, McCoist exclaimed: "It's Colak with the pass, look at that centre forward play! He positions himself for a finish. It's slightly behind him.

"It's an absolutely perfect, top class header. It is leaving Craig Gordon with no chance. That is a top goal. I loved the movement after he passed wide.

"He played a good pass wide and continued his run into the box. He is proving his worth, there is no doubt. Colak then times his run beautifully (in the second goal).

"An excellent finish. If Rangers want to win the title back from Celtic this season, they'll need a few more from that man."
