Rangers 'hand' Celtic 700 tickets for Ibrox showdown as away fans make derby return

Celtic fans are set to return to Ibrox for the crucial top of the table clash with Rangers next month, according to reports.

The Glasgow rivals will battle it out in Govan in a vital game in the Premiership title race on April 3.

It is now claimed that 700 Celtic fans will be able to attend as Ange Postecoglou 's side travel across the city.

The Rangers Review state that Rangers " have been given no indication that these tickets will be returned."

Visiting supporters have been shut out of Glasgow's biggest game this season in a row that involved Covid rules.

Back in 2018 the original allocations of around 7000 at both grounds, but were slashed as Rangers opted to offer Celtic just 800 tickets moving forward.

This season's impasse began when Celtic could not guarantee Rangers fans would have any allocation at all for the second meeting, due to the existence of 'red zones' in line with Scottish Government restrictions.

That led to Rangers withdrawing the tickets for the first meeting between the two sides last year on 29 August at Ibrox and it was another home fans only affair at Celtic Park earlier this month.
