Kevin McLeod set off from his home in Loch Lomond at around 2pm on Monday to meet pals in Edinburgh and Dunbar before the trio set off to drive down to Manchester Airport for their flight to Gibraltar on Tuesday morning.
But the 45-year-old’s plans were nearly derailed after he discovered his passport was missing on their 235 mile drive south - prompting a panicked late night phone call to wife Dawn Adam.
