Rangers have reportedly agreed on a "bargain" cut-price option to sign James Penrice permanently.
The left-back, currently on loan from AEK Athens, has made an immediate impact at Ibrox, establishing himself as a key player in Derek McInnes' squad.
According to the Daily Record, Rangers can secure Penrice's services for a mere £800,000, with the option to activate the clause in his loan agreement before next summer.
This would be a relatively low investment for a player who has quickly become a fan favourite.
The 27-year-old defender has already made eight appearances for Rangers this season, benefiting from Tuur Rommens' injury absence.

His performances have been assured, including a standout display in the 3-0 Premier Sports Cup victory over Celtic.
After his debut against St Mirren last month, Penrice made his ambitions clear. He said: "Tuur is obviously injured but I'm coming in to play.
"I want to keep performing, I want to make the jersey my own and hopefully I can do that."
He also hinted at a potential permanent stay, adding: "Staying here long-term is a conversation for the future but there's obviously an option in the deal, everyone knows that.
"I've only been in a few days so let me enjoy this one and then in a couple of months we can sort that."
