Former Celtic transfer guru John Park is set to join the transfer network at rival Premiership club Rangers.
The 64-year-old was a key figure at Celtic in the early 2010s and helped the Hoops uncover players like Virgil Van Dijk, Victor Wanyama and Moussa Dembele, moving on when Brendan Rodgers came in and decided he wanted his own man in Park's role.
It's reported by The Athletic that he has been 'appointed to a senior scouting role' and begins work at Rangers with 'immediate effect.' Park has been without a club since Ton Mowbray was sacked as manager by English Championship club Blackburn Rovers and Ibrox sporting director Ross Wilson has moved quickly to claim his man, who he hopes will help them uncover bargains in the transfer market like he did across the city. Nine years in total were spent by Park at Parkhead before leaving them six years ago.

Wilson is understood to have a long-term relationship with Park from his early days in football.
Current head of recruitment Andy Scoulding is heading to the Premier League and Tottenham but this incoming is 'not believed to be a direct replacement.'
So far Rangers have been quiet on the transfer front, with only defender John Souttar arriving from Hearts.
