Rangers have announced a summer friendly with long-standing allies Hamburg SV.
The Ibrox side will return to their home turf for a summer clash with the Bundesliga 2 outfit in a friendly between two clubs with a storied history together. The Scottish and German sides have an official partnership and Tim Walter will bring his side to Glasgow to square off with Michael Beale and co on Saturday, July 22.
The clash is set for a 3pm kick-off with Ibrox fans no doubt hoping to see some new stars including ex-Norwich City man Kieran Dowell who was unveiled as Beale's first summer recruit before a 2-2 draw with Hearts on Wednesday. The likes of Dujon Sterling, Jack Butland and Jose Cifuentes could all be Rangers players by the time the friendly comes around as Beale previously pined for an effective transfer window to begin from the end of this campaign.
The first friendly between the two sides took place in 1970 with the Ibrox side promising 'a range of fan-based activities on and around the matchday, as both clubs join to celebrate the friendship and bond between both sets of supporters'.
Rangers have confirmed tickets will be priced at £15 for adults, £10 for concessions and £5 for children with the briefs going on sale from Monday, June 12.
