Peterborough striker Siriki Dembele is close to joining Bournemouth after the two clubs agreed a fee, according to a report.
Dembele, who spent time with Ayr and Dundee United earlier in his career, has been one of Peterborough's standout performers in the Championship this season.
His 12 goals helped fire them to promotion from League One and he's been linked with both Rangers and Celtic during his rise to prominence.
He is out of contract in the summer and that led speculation he could sign for one of Glasgow's big two on a pre-contract deal.
However Sky Sports are now reporting that Bournemouth are closing in on a deal to take him to the south coast club this month.
25-year-old Dembele is eligible to represent Scotland and England on the international stage as well as his country of birth the Ivory Coast.
He has five goals to his name this season despite Peterbrough's struggles and they had hoped to retain him to aid their survival fight.
But it appears he will head to promotion-chasing Bournemouth as they battle to get back into the Premier League.
