An Ayrshire dessert parlour have launched football themed Prime energy drink cupcake boxes in time for Sunday’s League Cup final.
Shells Scoops & Shakes Dessert Café, on Irvine’s High Street, has released Rangers and Celtic cupcake gift boxes served alongside a bottle of the wildly popular energy juice Prime.
The café - known for its delicious sweet treats including cakes, brownies, crepes and cheesecake Easter eggs - announced on their Facebook page last night that the gift boxes, which cost £15, were available while stocks last.
The Rangers box comes with four blue iced cupcakes with a bottle of blue raspberry flavoured Prime energy drink.
The Celtic box is complete with four neatly green-iced cupcakes and a lemon and lime flavoured bottle of the wildly popular beverage, which went viral last year following its launch by two popular YouTube stars, KSI and Logan Paul.
In December last year, stores across the country were flogging the in demand drink for costly prices as shoppers went crazy trying to get their hands on the £1.99 drink, which for a time was only available in Asda supermarkets and saw shelves cleared within minutes.
Woodstock Store in Kilmarnock were flogging the in demand beverage for a whopping £12.50 - more than six times what Asda and Aldi were charging.
Shells Scoops & Shakes Dessert Cafe also have a tropical punch Prime flavoured cupcake gift box on offer.
The cafe said there are ‘limited available’ footy themed offerings due to ‘limited supplies’, and customers should message reserve a box ahead of the Scottish Cup League Final between Rangers and Celtic this Sunday at 3pm.
