A private healthcare and diagnostic company is opening a new facility in Birmingham city centre. Randox Health is launching the new clinic at the end of July in High Street where it will offer services such as tests for vitamin deficiencies, hormone imbalances, allergies and heart conditions among other illnesses.
The company, which was founded in 1982 and is headquartered in County Antrim, currently has ten clinics operating across the UK. The launch in Birmingham marks its debut in the Midlands region, with the company aiming to have 20 sites operating across the UK by the end of this year.
This follows the firm delivering around 25 million covid-19 PCR tests during the pandemic.
Company founder and owner Peter Fitzgerald said: "Randox believes that, in harnessing the achievements during the pandemic, we can help the shift away from the traditional model of sickness management to a new era of truly preventative healthcare.
"Having a regular review of personalised health data is vital to understanding and maintaining good health. Access to regular health screening will allow clients to actively take control of their health to prevent or delay disease.
"This will benefit individuals and society by improving patient outcomes and considerably reducing the burden on our vital and hard-pressed clinical services."
