Rookie cornerback Derion Kendrick was called upon Sunday with the Rams’ secondary battling several injuries, and he did an excellent job in his first career game. Unfortunately, he exited with a head injury in the fourth quarter.
Buy Rams TicketsSean McVay said after the 20-12 win that Kendrick is being evaluated for a concussion so the team will have an update on him this week. McVay will address reporters Monday night as he usually does, so we’ll likely get more information then.
This is disappointing news for the Rams, who were already without three of their top four cornerbacks. Troy Hill is on injured reserve, and both Cobie Durant and David Long Jr. missed Sunday’s game with injuries.
Hopefully Kendrick can recover quickly enough to play in Week 4 against the 49ers, which is on the road on Monday Night Football.
