The Los Angeles Rams trimmed their roster down to 53 players on Tuesday and in the process, they placed three players on injured reserve. They announced that Tre Tomlinson has been placed on season-ending IR, while Larrell Murchison and KT Leveston have been put on IR with a designation to return.
The FNL made a change to pre-cut IR rules this year, allowing teams to designate up to two players to return from IR even if they were put on the list before final cuts. Previously, any player who was put on IR before making the 53-man roster was out for the season.
Leveston has been dealing with an ankle injury but he’s expected to be back sometime this season. Murchison injured his arm in the team’s first preseason game and has been sidelined since.
For Tomlinson, it’s disappointing that he’ll miss his entire second season in the NFL after being a promising prospect out of TCU in 2023.
