The Los Angeles Rams were one of 14 teams to make the playoffs this season, going 10-7 in a year when few people expected them to finish above .500. They exceeded expectations despite going through a rebuild and they’re in excellent shape heading into the 2024 campaign thanks to a healthy amount of cap space and plenty of draft picks.
Yet, the oddsmakers at DraftKings don’t see them as much of a threat to win the Super Bowl next season. DraftKings released odds for every team to win a ring next year and the Rams have the 17th-best odds at +3500. That means a $100 wager would win a profit of $3,500.
The 49ers have the best odds at +550, followed by the Chiefs (+850), Ravens (+900) and Bills (+950). Every other team has odds of +1200 or longer.
There are quite a few surprising teams with shorter odds than the Rams. For instance, the Texans have the eighth-best odds (+2000) after an admittedly strong 2023 season under DeMeco Ryans, but should they really be considered one of the top favorites to win it all?
The Jets are +2200 to win the Super Bowl and while Aaron Rodgers’ return will help immensely, that team still has plenty of holes to fill. Even the Chargers (+2500) have better odds thanks to the hiring of Jim Harbaugh.
There’s perhaps nothing more shocking than the Falcons (+2800) and Bears (+3000) both having better odds than the Rams as of now. That’s borderline ridiculous because neither team knows who its starting quarterback will be in 2024.
Elsewhere in the NFC West, the Seahawks and Cardinals are both +8000, among the worst in the NFL. The Panthers have the longest odds of any team at +20000.
