The Los Angeles Rams will officially open the season without their two starting offensive tackles. Rob Havenstein is inactive and will not play on Sunday night against the Detroit Lions.
Havenstein has been dealing with an ankle injury since training camp and is not yet ready to return. Havenstein was the only player with an injury designation coming into this game, so the team’s other inactives are all healthy scratches.
Cody Schrader, Brennan Jackson, Elias Neal and Desjuan Johnson are all inactive, as well, and will not play in the opener against the Lions. Rookie linebacker Omar Speights is active, as Les Snead said he would be, so he will play tonight in Detroit.
Rams RT Rob Havenstein is inactive today. Other inactives: Cody Schrader, Brennan Jackson, Elias Neal, Desjuan Johnson.

There are no real surprises on the Lions’ side, with Ifeatu Melifonwu being the most notable player who is inactive. Defensive tackle D.J. Reader is also out for this game.
