The Los Angeles Rams are adding an experienced coach and former defensive coordinator to Sean McVay’s staff. According to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, the Rams are hiring former Eagles defensive coordinator Sean Desai to a senior defensive role.
It’s unclear exactly what Desai’s role will be with the Rams, but he has experience leading a defense as a two-time coordinator. He was the Bears’ defensive coordinator in 2021 and the Eagles’ DC in 2023 before being assigned to a different role in Philadelphia.
Between those stints in Chicago and Philadelphia, he was the Seahawks’ associate head coach and defensive assistant in 2022. Now he joins first-year defensive coordinator Chris Shula’s staff in Los Angeles.
