JAMMU: Ramban Police in association with Madhya Pradesh (MP) Police on Saturday successfully traced a minor girl within 24 hrs who was abducted from the said state on other day and also arrested the abductor, police said.
Ramban Police said, "On June 17, ( Friday), a team of Police Station Sarni District Betul, Madhya Pradesh (MP) reached Police Post Sangaldan regarding the search of missing minor girl (name withheld) who had been kidnapped by accused person namely Bijinder Singh alias Ravi Rajput son of Kamal Singh a resident of Madhya Pradesh."
"On this Police team from Police Post Sangaldan led by Incharge PP Sangaldan (Prob) Sub Inspector (PSI) Aakash Magotra on the directions of SDPO Gool Nihar Ranjan immediately swung into action and took technical assistance and rounded various suspects in this regard."
"After hectic efforts, cops recovered the minor girl and also arrested the accused person. The minor girl as well as accused were handed over to the Madhya Pradesh Police." "The recovery of the minor girl and arrest of the accused was made by the Ramban police under overall supervision of SSP Ramban Ms Mohita Sharma IPS, police added.
