Ram Charan’s ‘Peddi’ storms box office, crosses ₹180 crore worldwide in just 2 days

The Ram Charan-starrer “Peddi” has registered a powerful start at the box office, collecting more than ₹180 crore worldwide within just two days of its release.

Strong Opening at the Box Office

The sports action drama, directed by Buchi Babu Sana, hit theatres across India on Thursday. According to the makers, the film opened with ₹135.36 crore on day one and added another ₹46.44 crore on the second day. This takes its total global earnings to ₹181.8 crore.

The production house, Vriddhi Cinemas, shared the official box office figures through its Instagram handle on Saturday.

Story Set in Rural Andhra Pradesh

Set in the 1980s backdrop of rural Andhra Pradesh, “Peddi” tells the story of a man from a marginalised community who takes up wrestling as a means to earn respect and dignity for his people.

Star-Studded Cast

Alongside Ram Charan, the film features notable performances from Shiva Rajkumar and Janhvi Kapoor. Actors Jagapathi Babu, Divyenndu, and Boman Irani also play key roles in the narrative.

Production and Music

The film is produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru under the banner of Vriddhi Cinemas, with Ishan Saksena serving as co-producer under IVY Entertainment. It is presented by Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings.

The music for “Peddi” has been composed by AR Rahman.
