Ralf Rangnick reveals Manchester United need five or more new signings

Ralf Rangnick has admitted signing four new players is "not enough" for Manchester United this summer, as he looks to help oversee the club's rebuild.

United's squad is in dire need of an overhaul after a tumultuous season at Old Trafford in which the club went from prospective title challengers, to outside bets for a top four spot. Rangnick took over from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer mid-season on an interim basis until the summer, with Ajax's Erik ten Hag expected to get the job long-term.

In a wide-ranging interview with Sky Sports Rangnick has explained just how much United need to rebuild in the coming transfer window, while revealing he's recommended "a couple" of players to the club already. He also denied the suggestion that the noise around the new manager situation has been a factor in United's fluctuating form.
