Kalvin Phillips' loyalty to boyhood club Leeds United could be about to be seriously tested.
Manchester United have long been linked with an interest in the England international, but have now begun 'exploring' the prospect of a £50m transfer this summer. That is according to the Athletic, who insist no direct negotiations have yet been held between the clubs, while the Red Devils have also not approached the midfielder directly.
Phillips cemented his growing reputation with a number of impressive performances during England's run to the Euro 2020 final last summer. The 26-year-old has regularly been linked with an Elland Road exit, and is approaching the final two years of his contract with his boyhood club.
