Rajya Sabha Chairman C P Radhakrishnan on Thursday expressed "deep concern" over repeated disruptions that "derailed" the functioning of the House during the Monsoon Session, urging members to uphold its dignity and discharge their parliamentary responsibilities in the highest traditions of Indian democracy.
As he adjourned the House sine die, Radhakrishnan said the 271st Session witnessed persistent disorder and frequent disruptions, resulting in a significant loss of working hours and limiting opportunities for meaningful debate on matters of national importance.
