JAIPUR: Rajasthan High Court has directed the state government to ensure protection to a clerk (munshi) of a lawyer and his family after he allegedly received threats from an unidentified person over a WhatsApp forward in the aftermath of the Udaipur beheading incident.
The victim’s counsel, Deepak Chouhan, said that his client, working as a munshi for a lawyer of the high court, had accidentally forwarded a message in a WhatsApp group and then deleted it. “He had also said sorry for it. However, an FIR was registered against him at Mansarovar police station on July 3,” he added.
