JAIPUR: In all 27,911 beneficiaries of National Food Security Act (NSA) were found to be either working as government employees or are pension holders having retired from government service, said food and civil supplies secretary Naveen Jain. The department has decided to recover the money from these employees by collecting Rs 25 for one kg of wheat, he said.
Jain said that among these families, 3,379 belong to Jaipur district, more than 3,200 families belong to Alwar district. Around 15,000 government employees are from 7 districts including Jaipur, Alwar, Udaipur, Banswara, Kota, Jodhpur and Dungarpur.
He said this was found during the campaign run by the state government to map NFSA ration card holders with Jan Aadhar since July 2021. “It was further revealed while matching the ration card data with the family members enrolled under the Rajasthan Government Health Services (RGHS),” said Jain.
