Rain and snow to cause midweek pain but warmer weather to come

Flooding and travel disruption could affect parts of the UK on Wednesday amid heavy downpours and snow, but warmer weather may be in store this weekend with temperatures forecast to climb into the teens.

Many in the south of England are facing a wet start on Wednesday, with a yellow weather warning for heavy rain in force for an area stretching from Cornwall to Kent until 8am on Thursday.
