ScotRail has alerted passengers about scaled back services running during the rail strike next week.
Just five routes will be operating across Scotland on June 21, 23 and 25 when RMT members of Network Rail take industrial action.
The firm is urging people to travel only if they "really need to" and consider alternative options where possible - no doubt in part of their warning that last trains will depart "well before" 6:30pm.
Although the strike does not directly involve ScotRail staff, it will severely limit the firm's ability to provide services.
ScotRail said: "Many of the Network Rail staff that are due to take part in the planned industrial action occupy safety-critical roles and, as such, it will not be possible for ScotRail to run the vast majority of services."
The firm says customers should expect significant disruption even on the days between strike action.
ScotRail's schedule during the rail strikes
The strike by RMT members of Network Rail is set for Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday next week on June 21, 23 and 25.
Just five ScotRail routes are scheduled to run from 7:30am to 6:30pm.
However, passengers have been warned that the last trains will depart well before 6:30pm.
- Edinburgh - Glasgow via Falkirk High: two trains per hour
- Edinburgh - Bathgate: two trains per hour
- Glasgow - Hamilton/Larkhall: two trains per hour
- Glasgow - Lanark: two trains per hour
- Edinburgh - Glasgow via Shotts: one train per hour
David Simpson, ScotRail Service Delivery Director, said: "It is very unfortunate to see such widespread disruption across the whole of the Great Britain rail network and we know this will be frustrating for ScotRail customers.
"Regrettably, this strike action by RMT members of Network Rail means that we will not be able to operate the vast majority of our services during the period of strike action."
