Rail passengers urged to plan journeys as strike action set to cause major disruption

TransPennine Express (TPE) is urging passengers to plan journeys ahead of a third weekend of strike action set to cause major disruption to travel.

Further industrial action by the Rail, Maritime and Transport (RMT) union is planned to take place on Sunday, February 27.

And TPE is warning customers that there will be an amended timetable in place with a significant reduction in the number of trains running, which is expected to affect travel to and from the North East.
