The wide receiver market is one that is quickly drying up before free agency even begins. Players like Davante Adams and Chris Godwin both received the franchise tag and Michael Gallup signed a long-term deal with the Cowboys.
However, one receiver that the Raiders are expected to show heavy interest in now that the legal tampering period is open is Marquez Valdes-Scantling of the Green Bay Packers.
According to Josina Anderson from USA Today, the Raiders have shown interest in Valdes-Scantling already this offseason. He is expected to be one of the highest-paid receivers on the market.
I'm told teams showing preliminary interest in #Packers WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling include the #Raiders, #Bears, #49ers, #Colts & #Texans, per league source.

Valdes-Scantling is one of the best deep threat receivers in free agency, but he doesn’t have a ton of production to show for it. Since entering the NFL in 2018, he’s totaled just 2,153 yards and 13 touchdowns with the Packers.
The best season of his career came in 2020 when he averaged an incredible 20.9 yards per reception for the Packers. During that season, he caught 33 passes for 690 yards and six touchdowns for the Packers.
He’ll turn 28 during the 2022 season, but he does have the deep speed that the Raiders lack. We’ll see just how serious the Raiders are about adding him to their wide receiver room over the next few days.
