The NFL’s leading rusher from the 2022 season is officially back. The Raiders have signed All-Pro running back Josh Jacobs to a one-year deal worth up to $12 million, according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Media.
The Raiders placed the franchise tag on Jacobs during the offseason and the former first-round pick did not sign the tag. He has missed all of the offseason workouts and training camp, but he is officially back with just over two weeks to go until Week 1.

This deal will allow Jacobs to test free agency again in 2024, should the Raiders not tag him again. Jacobs led the league in rushing yards and total yards during the 2022 season after the team declined the fifth-year option on him.
Jacobs should be completely ready to go by Week 1 and that means Zamir White will fall back to the RB2 on the roster. The league’s leading rusher is officially back and ready to go for the 2023 season.
