Josh Jacobs has yet to sign the franchise tag for the upcoming season, and he took to Twitter with a message appearing to address his contract standoff with the Raiders.
“Sometimes it’s not about you,” he said in a tweet on Saturday. “We gotta do it for the ones after us.”
The clock is ticking for the two sides to come to terms on a new deal, with the deadline being July 15. It’s unclear what the Las Vegas tailback is currently looking for, but if he were to sign the franchise tag, he’d earn $10.1 million fully guaranteed this upcoming season, per Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk.
