The Raiders have gotten surprisingly good play from their offensive tackles this season. That was one of the biggest concerns heading into the season as the right side of their offensive line looked like a major question mark.
However, the Raiders still might decide to address that side of the offensive line early in the 2023 NFL Draft. Kolton Miller has developed into one of the best left tackles in the league, but they need a long-term answer on the other side.
In a recent mock draft by The 33rd Team, they had the Raiders picking at No. 9 and selecting an offensive tackle. That player mocked to the Raiders was none other than Paris Johnson from Ohio State. Here is what they had to say about that potential fit:
“With lots of length and outstanding athletic ability, Johnson would be a nice fit in the Raiders’ offense and would give them a building block for the future.”
Johnson is considered the top offensive tackle prospect in this class due to his size and mobility. That type of offensive line prospect usually doesn’t fall very far in the draft, but the Raiders would be wise to scoop him up if he is available. Keep an eye on Johnson during the College Football Playoffs to see how he performs under the national spotlight.
