Over the next week, the Raiders will try to finalize their coaching staff for the 2024 season ahead of the NFL Combine. For the most part, the coaching staff is full in Antonio Pierce’s first year with the team. But there are still a few things left to be decided on offense.
The good news is that the Raiders are getting close to finishing their work on that side of the ball. Late Sunday night, it was reported by Jeremy Fowler of ESPN that the Raiders will name Fred Walker as their assistant QB coach.
#Raiders expected to name Fred Walker assistant quarterbacks coach, per sources. Vegas didn’t retain many offensive coaches but it keeps Walker, who was an offensive assistant for the team the last two seasons.

Walker joined the team in 2022 after spending 11 seasons coaching college. He worked at Duke from 2018 and 2019, helping the development of Daniel Jones. Before that, he worked at Mississippi State, helping Dak Prescott become one of the most prolific players in SEC history.
The Raiders are still working to finalize the QB coach role, but Walker will be on the staff helping with that job. And considering his track record, that is excellent news for Las Vegas.
