Raiders DE Maxx Crosby donates $1 million to Eastern Michigan athletics

Late in the 2019 NFL Draft, the Raiders took a chance on a wirey defensive end from Eastern Michigan. That decision has proven to be one of the best in franchise history. Maxx Crosby is one of the best defensive players in the league and is now the leader of the defense.

Crosby has had an incredible career to date, recording 44 sacks and making the Pro Bowl twice. The Raiders made him one of their highest-paid players in franchise history last year and Crosby is now doing everything he can to give back.

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Crosby recently donated $1 million to his alma mater, Eastern Michigan University, to help out their athletics department. And now, the school has decided to name its football field after the greatest player in the university’s history:

Crosby has been a superstar on and off the field from the moment that he was drafted by the Raiders. Not only has he dominated offensive tackles across the NFL, but he’s helped out local communities and his former school on numerous occasions. Well done, Mr. Crosby. That is how you use your platform to make an impact.
