Raid on Falkirk drug dealer's house found cocaine, cannabis and 'tick' lists

A drug dealer is facing jail after a raid on his Falkirk home found "cannabis throughout the house".

Falkirk Sheriff Court heard that seven police officers, acting on intelligence, raided Norquoy's home in Glen Village, Falkirk at 8.25 pm on December 1st, 2020.

Prosecutor Katie Cunningham said: "Entry was gained by force and the accused and his partner were placed on the floor.

"A search was carried out and a large quantity of drugs and drug paraphernalia was recovered, including cannabis in zipper bags and jars throughout the house, cocaine, 86 bags of diazapam, a quantity of cash, multiple sets of contaminated scales, multiple mobile phones, and 'tick' lists."

Up to £21,000 worth of cannabis, nearly £2600 worth of diazepam, and £40 worth of cocaine was found.

Norquoy, now of Tamfourhill, also Falkirk, pleaded guilty on indictment to being concerned in the supply of the controlled drugs.

Solicitor-advocate Martin Morrow, defending, said Norquoy had never before served a prison sentence.

Sheriff Simon Collins QC deferred sentence until March 17th for social background reports.

He said: "I will continue bail meantime but custody will be at the forefront of the court's mind given the nature of these offences."
