Rahul Gandhi unveils promises for Chhattisgarh: Free education from 'KG to PG,' higher prices for tendu leaves

RAIPUR: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi announced on Saturday a plan to provide free education for all in government-run educational institutions in Chhattisgarh, from kindergarten (KG) to post-graduate (PG) level.

He also pledged to increase the price of tendu patta (beedi leaves) procured from tribal communities to Rs 4,000 per standard bag and raise the minimum support price of other minor forest produce by Rs 10 if the Congress retained power in next month's assembly elections.
