In a press conference on Saturday, Prbakhar said, "In the last eight years, Rahul Gandhi never spoke against the ruling TRS, even though his party MLAs have become turncoats splitting the legislature party and some have even become ministers, what makes Rahul Gandhi visit the state now, he is only coming to help TRS and all this is happening with the intervention of poll strategists Prashakth Kishor."

Former Uppal MLA slammed the former AICC chief, saying, "when KCR poached MLAs, Rahul was silent, and many students committed suicide for the sake of statehood when UPA-2 was in rule, but Rahul never had any kind words for them, why does he want to visit Osmania University. Prabhakar also claimed that when many farmers committed suicide in the state, Rahul Gandhi said nothing, but that he is now coming to Warangal to help TRS.
