Raheem Sterling has joined Chelsea from Manchester City as Todd Boehly gifts Thomas Tuchel his first addition of the summer. The 27-year-old forward has penned a long-term deal at Stamford Bridge after snubbing enquiries from rivals Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.
The England international is already in Los Angeles and is set to join up with the Chelsea squad amid a pre-season tour of the United States. And, with his best years ahead of him, Sterling has penned a five-year deal in west London, promising to 'make history' at Stamford Bridge.
Speaking to the official Chelsea website, Sterling spoke of his joy in joining the club. He said: "First and foremost, it's a pleasure to be here. I've obviously achieved a lot in my career so far, but there is still so much more to achieve, and I'm really looking forward to doing that in a Chelsea shirt under Thomas's management.
