Radio DJ Ewen Cameron will 'seek help' after breaking down over Olivia Newton-John’s death

Radio host Ewen Cameron will “seek help” after worrying listeners by breaking down over Olivia Newton-John’s death.

Cameron was presenting his breakfast show with Cat Harvey when he got upset while discussing the Grease legend, who died this week. He took to Twitter yesterday to reassure fans.

And he pledged to seek help for his mental health after admitting to “living in fear” for decades.

The 50-year-old wrote: “For those who didn’t hear the show yesterday this is a wee explanation of what happened while talking about Olivia Newton-John. “Music is very powerful and the Grease soundtrack and movie mean so much to me.

"It took me to a happy place during my childhood and into my teens & beyond. It was my escape.

“So the passing of Olivia hit me in a way I never expected. I can’t explain.

“I’ve struggled for many years and as I said on the radio I have decided to finally tell my story at some point very soon.”

STV News editor Nichola Kane said: “Much love Ewen. You are a bam but also one of life’s good guys”.
