SHALADAR (4.20, nap) is in the form of his life and can record his fourth win of the year for trainer Kevin Ryan when he runs in the Watch On Racing TV Handicap (Div I) at Nottingham on Wednesday.
The three-year-old has been first or second in six of his last seven runs, culminating in a career-best performance when winning a seven-runner apprentice handicap at Ayr over a mile last month in the hands of 3lb claimer Oisin McSweeney.
There, he kept on well and cosily landed the spoils by half a length from Tommy G.
Ryan's gelding is unpenalised for that victory and will take all the beating again under the same rider.
Earlier on the card, the progressive HAVE SECRET (3.50, nb) looks the pick in the British Stallion Studs EBF Nursery Handicap.
Richard Fahey's colt was a head second at Chepstow over seven furlongs in July then followed that with a neck victory at Haydock the following month when staying on best over the same trip.
Stepping up to a mile at Ayr last time, he fared best of those held up when third of 11 - again finishing strongly and he should relish going up in trip again to a mile and a quarter on Wednesday.
