Andrew bids to end the week on a high with two stats-based selections over the sticks at Carlisle and Huntingdon on Sunday, November 3rd…
CARLISLE 3.58
SLUGGER (system – Harry Derham, stable switchers)
Harry Derham has a fine record at the first time of asking with horses he takes over from other yards, scoring with 21 of the 54 qualifiers (38.9% strike-rate) for a profit of £57.37 to a £1 level stake at SP. SLUGGER, last seen running fifth in a Class 3 handicap hurdle at Perth for Iain Jardine in the spring, drops in grade on his debut for new connections and was a winner on his reappearance effort last term.
HUNTINGDON 4.14
JAXONNE (system – Jonjo O’Neill, handicap hurdles, Huntingdon)
Since the beginning of 2014, in-form Jonjo O’Neill has a 24 from 90 record with his handicap hurdlers at Huntingdon for a profit of £40.05 to a £1 level stake at SP (expected winners = 14.77, A/E = 1.63). JAXONNE won by 12 lengths at Ludlow on his only previous handicap outing on a right-handed track and today’s venue should suit.
