The great thing about Spreadex is that offers both normal fixed odds betting plus spread betting on horse racing. There are some key differences, of course, between this form of gambling and placing regular fixed odds bets.
Make the right call and punters could win big, but the potential to lose money can be much higher. Intrigued? Then check out this how to spread bet on horse racing guide:
Andrew successfully opposed PYRAMID PLACE (6th, 16-5) on Friday and has three recommended bets/trades on Saturday, December 14th…
CHELTENHAM 1.13
GAME ON FOR GLORY disappointed at Market Rasen on her comeback in mid-October but she wouldn’t have been suited by the right-handed track. Lucy Wadham’s eight-year-old tends to jump out to her left and is best judged on her record left-handed of 2221144232 (2-10). She’s only raced on Cheltenham’s New Course twice before, finishing second on each occasion and looks a solid buy (or each-way bet) in the Spreadex 50-30-20-10 market.
Recommendation: Back GAME ON FOR GLORY in Cheltenham 1.13
CHELTENHAM 1.50
Those near the head of the weights have often struggled in the December Gold Cup Handicap Chase at Cheltenham and a buy of DOUBLE NUMBER OF WINNER with Spreadex looks the play. Since 2012 (11 renewals, as this race was abandoned in 2022), those ranked in the top five in the weights were just two from 63 for a loss of £47.50 to a £1 level stake at SP (expected winners = 5.73, A/E = 0.35). There are plenty further down the weights with solid chances in this 11-runner 2m4.5f contest, not least MADARA (no. 7), who ran an eyecatcher when fourth in the Paddy Power Gold Cup here on last month’s debut for Dan Skelton, and IN EXCELSIS DEO (no. 8), who will appreciate the return to the New Course after unseating here last month. GUARD YOUR DREAMS (no. 10) ran well over course and distance last month, albeit in a lower grade, and completes my shortlist of three.
Recommendation: Buy DOUBLE NUMBER OF WINNER in Cheltenham 1.50
DONCASTER 2.40
This 3m Listed mares’ hurdle looks ripe for an upset as odds-on favourite WEST BALBOA is reverting to timber after two disappointing efforts over fences which may have affected her confidence, and second favourite GALE MAHLER has been on the go for some time and prefers quicker going. Take the pair on with Henry Daly’s WYENOT, who is stepping up in trip after her five-length fourth in a 2m5f handicap hurdle at Cheltenham last month. That run was better than it looked as she was taken on for the lead and emerged clear best of the pace horses, beating the next prominent racer by eight lengths. Buy in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market or take a fixed odds price.
Recommendation: Back WYENOT in Doncaster 2.40
