There’s plenty of early pace on offer in this 1m apprentice handicap, with habitual front-runners KRACKING (stall 3 of 14) and DIMSONS (stall 4) likely to take each other on for the lead from the outset. The hat-trick seeking VIBRATO (stall 10) is another who can put pace to the race and it could be worth siding with MBAPPE (stall 13), the mount of Mason Paetel. Mark Loughane’s hold-up performer will be tucked in from his wide draw and had proved very consistent for his current yard, recording form figures of 1414133 (3-7). Buy in the Spreadex 50-30-20-10 market or take a fixed odds price.

KEMPTON 5.30
NOTRE BELLE BETE is an 18-race maiden on turf, so his last-time-out 40-1 fifth of 15 in the Listed Wolferton Stakes at Royal Ascot can be viewed positively. Andrew Balding’s six-year-old has form figures on the all-weather of 111322314 (4-9) and he looks worth chancing in this 1m Class 2 handicap despite a wide draw in stall 11. He was sent off as the 3-1 favourite when fourth in this race last year but is going to be around four or five times the price this evening. Buy in the Spreadex 50-30-20-10 market or take a fixed odds price.

KEMPTON 8.00
Ralph Beckett has a cracking record in fillies handicaps on the all-weather, scoring with 29 of the 105 qualifiers since the beginning of 2010 for a profit of £42.08 to a £1 level stake at SP. On Polytrack only, the score is 23 from 78 for a profit of £46.38 (expected winners = 14.73, A/E = 1.56). He sets a conundrum by running two in this 1m3f Class 4 contest – POWER OF DESTINY and SILENT GLANCE. The first-named is making his debut for the yard after leaving the care of the now-retired Sir Michael Stoute and the former recorded two impressive wins from two starts on the all-weather before a pair of poor efforts on turf. I want to side with both and, as they’re numbered 1 and 2 on the racecard, the best way to attack the race with Spreadex is to sell DOUBLE NUMBER OF WINNER.
