Rachel Reeves hits back at two child benefit changes criticism during visit to London charity

The Chancellor has hit back at claims that scrapping the two child benefit cap is too expensive and said the government wants to go further to tackle poverty.

Rules which mean parents can only claim universal credit or tax credits for their first two children are set to be completely abolished from April at a cost of about £2.5billion a year.
