People were full of praise for Rachael Blackmore after her latest interview.
The Tipperary jockey appeared on BBC's Breakfast show and spoke brilliantly about the past year, which has seen her win multiple Cheltenham Festival races as well as the Grand National.
She said: "It has been an incredible 12 months, it really has. I felt that in Cheltenham, I was just thinking to myself it's not 12 months since the Grand National in Aintree. I just feel incredibly lucky, I really really do."
Blackmore also showed her sense of humour in response to the chat with the hosts by saying: "It's a privileged position. To all those people though (who want to know her runners), the horses don't win all the time. I ride a lot more losers like every jockey than you do winners so 'tread with caution!'"
A number of Irish Mirror readers praised Blackmore for the interview.
One said: "We are so lucky to See this brilliant rider such a lovely down to earth person.Well done Rachael."
Another commented: "A fabulous role model. Well done Rachel on all your achievements."
Someone else added: "A great work ethic, professionalism and a basin full of Guts! Yes she really is a great Role model for young girls and for everybody quite frankly!"
One other message read: "Rachael is such a fantastic Jockey and a very humble young woman..what she has achieved is just brilliant."
"Fantastic young lady and a great representative of Irish racing," read another.
