Australian cyclist Jarrad Drizners is in hospital and could need surgery after he crashed out of the UAE Tour.
Drizners, in his first season at WorldTour level, crashed in the last kilometre of Friday's sixth stage in Dubai.
His Lotto Soudal team issued a statement, saying the 22-year-old is conscious and in a stable condition.
"The Australian rider suffered an abdominal trauma. Further examinations have to indicate whether he will need surgery," his team said.
