Although Khalid’s first post with the rainbow flag saw a lot of congratulations and celebrations, his second post on the topic had fans concerned and worried after he revealed he got outed.
“I got outted and the world still continues to turn,” Khalid wrote.
“Let’s get this straight (lmao) I am not ashamed of my sexuality! In reality it ain’t nobodies business! But I am okay with me. Love y’all.”

The “Young, Dumb & Broke” singer never revealed who or when he was “outed”. However, some fans were quick to allege that the singer came out due to a post from Hugo D Almonte.
In a now-deleted post, Almonte shared a selfie with Khaldi and wrote, “bitch ass lied and said that I broke into his house because I didn’t want him”.
Almonte shared a bunch of other posts referring to a “gay R&B Singer”. However, it appears that they’ve been wiped from the platform after he copped an immense amount of backlash from Khalid supporters and members of the LGBTQIA+ community.
Under Khalid’s X post, where he shared he was outed, the singer received support from fans and the community, with many punters apologising for the circumstances in which he had to reveal his sexual identity.
“Sorry that even happened to you. It isn’t anyone’s business to tell. We still fuck with you and love your music bro,” one person wrote.
“Don’t feel any pressure to speak about it any more, you don’t owe anyone any type of explanation, I’m so incredibly sorry that this wasn’t able to be on your own terms. But if you do ever wanna tell it your own way in the future, we’re ALL here to listen and support with open arms,” another fan commented.
“No, but nobody deserves to be outed without their permission. you deserved to come out on your own terms. We are with you,” wrote a third.
Towards the end of his announcement, Khalid reassured fans that he wasn’t ashamed of his sexuality. Instead, telling the public that it was none of their business, which is 100 per cent true!
As a long-time fan, I reckon Khalid handled the difficult situation with such grace. Whoever outed him can go kick rocks though!
