East Kilbride Golf Club will on Sunday host a Royal and Ancient (R&A) Coronation Foursomes area final.
They are one of only three clubs in Scotland to have been handed the prestigious honour, with 16 in total taking place.
Great Britain and Ireland’s oldest female only mass-participation golf event, the Coronation Foursomes celebrates its 69th year in 2022.
Sixty-nine teams have been selected to play at East Kilbride, and they will welcome ladies from Argyll, Dumfries and Galloway, Perthshire, the Lothians and Ayrshire, plus more from local clubs.
The winning pair will progress through to the Grand Final played over the Eden Course at St Andrews on Monday, September 19.
East Kilbride Golf Club’s lady captain Frances Fegan said: “Many at East Kilbride Golf Club have been working towards making this a memorable day’s golf for the lady visitors.
“Here’s hoping for a great day and we wish everyone good luck.”
