Hawks coach Quin Snyder couldn’t wait to get started with his new team. He likely could have waited to join the club next season, but Snyder is ready to get to work now.
“In the NBA, you hear the term foxhole a lot and to get in the foxhole with these guys, and I think those things have the opportunity to really accelerate the building of relationships,” Snyder said during his introductory news conference Monday. “You’re faced with adversity, and you go through it together collectively, and I didn’t want to wait until next year to do that. I felt like that was something that it just made sense to me to begin now.”
The Hawks introduced Snyder at the team’s practice facility in Brookhaven. Snyder and Hawks general manager Landry Fields shared what it was that sold them both on their decision to move forward just one week after moving on from Nate McMillan.
