The grandchildren of Princess Margaret, Countess of Snowdon often fade into the background when it comes to shining spotlight focused on the Royal Family.
They lead largely normal lives and only appear for the occasional national event, such as a royal wedding, funeral or Trooping the Colour.
One of Princess Margaret’s grandsons, Samuel Chatto, is hardly ever featured in the headlines, despite being a great-nephew of The Queen.
Today (July 28) marks Sam's 26th birthday and he has made quite the name for himself when it comes to his love of artistic and creative pursuits.
Sam is the eldest of Princess Margaret's four grandchildren. As well as him there is his younger brother, Arthur Chatto and their two cousins, Charles Armstrong-Jones, Viscount Linley and Lady Margarita Armstrong-Jones.
Princess Margaret was born on August 21, 1930 to King George VI (then Prince Albert, Duke of York) and Queen Elizabeth, The Queen Mother (then Elizabeth, Duchess of York) and was the younger sister of The Queen.
In 1960, she married society photographer Antony Armstrong-Jones, 1st Earl of Snowdon at Westminster Abbey. The couple went on to have two children, David Armstrong-Jones, 2nd Earl of Snowdon (b. 1961) and Lady Sarah Chatto (nee Armstrong-Jones b. 1964).
After the couple made history in 1978 when they became the first senior royals to divorce since Henry VIII, their children stayed at Kensington Palace with their mother, until they left to start their own families.
Lady Sarah Chatto married Daniel Chatto on July 14, 1994 at St Stephen’s, Walbrook in London. The pair went on to have two children, Samuel David Benedict Chatto (b. July 28, 1996) and Arthur Robert Nathaniel Chatto (b. February 5, 1999).
Sam was born in London and like many members of his family he was educated at Eton College. Upon leaving here, he went on to study history of art at The University of Edinburgh.
The royal takes after his mother with his interest in art and is a keen potter. Having completed a six-week apprenticeship with North Shore Pottery, Sam had three pots in a show in Somerset.
Sam - who delights his 88.5k Instagram followers with his enlightening and positive posts - spoke of his excitement for his apprenticeship.
A few years ago, he wrote: "2018 was such an incredible year of self reflection and growth for me.
"I spent six weeks in the very north of Scotland immersed in pottery and ceramics, being taught by the most patient and passionate potter. Clay consumed my every waking hour and I am so excited to see what I can achieve this year!"

As well as his talent for pottery, the young royal is a trained yoga instructor having completed a 200-hour yoga teacher training course in India at the end of 2018. He called the experience “incredibly eye-opening”.
In June, Sam was pictured attending the National Service of Thanksgiving alongside his parents and younger brother for Her Majesty's Platinum Jubilee.
He then recently joined his parents at The National Gallery's Inaugural Summer Party & Fundraiser and was pictured with his hand around an unidentified female friend's waist.
