The Queen appeared to be delighted to return to royal duties as she stood smiling without the need of a walking stick while she greeted the president of Switzerland at Windsor Castle.
It was her first official engagement since taking a week-long break at her late husband’s Duke of Edinburgh’s Wood Farm cottage where she celebrated her 96th birthday last Thursday.
