Mourners face a 30-hour wait to see the coffin of Queen Elizabeth II as it lies in state at Westminster Hall. Guidance released by the UK Government could see queues stretching all the way to Southwark Park in south-east London.
The plan will see the queue follow the path of the River Thames and - potentially - all the way to Southwark Park. The line will be managed by more than 1,000 volunteers, stewards and police officers.
From Wednesday, tens of thousands are expected to join the queue, creating a logistical challenge for authorities in London. Members of the public have five days to gather in the capital to say a final goodbye to the late monarch.
