A public holiday will take place next Monday for the funeral of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
With this a number of supermarkets, retail shops, and schools in Glasgow are closing. The UK Government said there is "no obligation to suspend business" during the national mourning period, while adding that some businesses "may wish to consider closing or postponing events, especially on the day of the state funeral".
Supermarkets including Marks and Spencer, Aldi and Lidl have confirmed they will be closing their stores, while Tesco Express and Co-Op will be closed until 5pm.
