The Queen developed a "crush" on a BBC weatherman in her later years, who she watched whenever he was on air, according to a source.
The monarch reportedly always wanted to tune in to watch Tomasz Schafernaker's broadcasts when she was staying at Balmoral.
Her Majesty used to enjoy listening to the Polish-British meteorologist's name being read out and "loved" his broadcasts, it is claimed.
The Queen was not alone in her affections for the forecaster, who has amassed more than 93,000 followers on Twitter.
A source told the Daily Mail : "It was like a bit of a crush; she always wanted to watch the forecasts when he was on.
"She was amused hearing the cadences when his name was read out but she loved watching him, too."
The Queen reportedly insisted on watching the broadcaster's forecasts as often as possible during her final months at Balmoral.
It comes after a royal expert said she thought the monarch knew she wasn't going to come back from Balmoral and wanted to pass there.
Katie Nicholl, Vanity Fair's royal correspondent, thinks the Queen wanted to be at her Scottish residency in Balmoral if she were to pass away - rather than stay at Buckingham Palace or Windsor Castle.
The royal expert believes the Queen knew she wasn't going to come back to Windsor or Buckingham Palace.
Katie the BBC : "The Queen 'knew she wasn't going to come back [to Windsor Castle or Buckingham Palace], I think she wanted to be in Balmoral and she wanted to pass there.
"She insisted on making the journey and I think, she was the Queen of Scots and I think she wanted this to be part of her homecoming, her ultimate homecoming.
"I think Balmoral was the one place where she could actually leave her crown at the gates and be a different role, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother.
"I actually think there's a bit of her that knew she wasn't going to come back, I think she wanted to be in Balmoral and she wanted to pass there.
"And the fact that she did peacefully is actually a blessing in all of this."
Balmoral was popular with the Queen and also Prince Philip - who enjoyed spending summers there with his grandchildren.
Prince William and Kate previously spoke of their memories of staying with the Queen at the Scottish estate - with the Prince of Wales admitting he will cherish the time his children spent with their gran there.
William's children George, nine, Charlotte, seven, and Louis, four had previously spent their summers at the state which was used for the family to relax from the spotlight.
